Splitting a fraction .. arghgh a.b / c?

How do I split this?
If say it was

(a.b)/c could I go
(a.b)/c = a/c + b/c OR (a.b)/c = a/c . b/c

If it was
(a+b)/c could I go,
(a+b)/c = a/c + b/c OR (a+b)/c= a/c . b/c

Getting confused :S any help would be app. ty/
